How To Merge Shapes In Powerpoint 2011 For Mac

Merge or combine hundreds of PowerPoint slides, presentations or files into one master file on Mac OS X. Merging PowerPoint slides is easy PowerPoint Merger - just a couple clicks and files are. On the first slide, they insert a textbox and type some text in it. Then they want to populate the slide and start copying that first shape by using the mandatory CTRL + C for copy, and CTRL + V for paste. They then paste the copied shape a number of times till you get several layers of your shape, on top of each other. Go here to learn how you can insert a SmartArt graphic within PowerPoint 2011 for Mac. Select the SmartArt tab of the Ribbon that you can see highlighted in red in Figure 2. Within this tab, locate the Edit SmartArt group and click the Shape button (highlighted in blue in Figure 2 ). I don't believe this feature's available in PPT 2011. You might instead have to use the Freeform tool to draw a shape that follows the borders of the shapes you want to combine.

PowerPoint has more than a hundred shapes but there are times when you want to combine two or more shapes to create your own shape. For example, we placed several basic shapes over a circle to create a smiling caricature as shown towards the left of the figure, below. With these shapes selected, we then used the Combine command that is explained later in this tutorial to create a unified, combined shape as shown towards the right in the figure below.

Now, in this tutorial you will learn how to use Union, the second command of this quartet — you will take two or more shapes and unite them. For example, we surrounded a circle with several stars over a donut shape as shown towards the left of the figure you see here. With these shapes selected, we could use the Union command to create a single united shape as shown towards the right in the same figure.
